Rulani Mokwena: I Should Be the Coach of the Season

Mamelodi Sundowns coach Rulani Mokwena has made a strong case for why he should be given the Coach of the Season award. When his Brazilian mentor was asked who he thought deserved the award as the DStv Premiership came to an end, Mokwena insisted without hesitation that it should be given to him.

“I would be Coach of the Season, that’s what I think. I think Coach of the Season should be the coach who wins the league. But I can’t compliment Steve Barker too much on the job he’s done. He deserves incredible, incredible, incredible applause for the work he’s done at Stellenbosch,” he said.
