Historic Achievement by Erlan Sherov! Kyrgyz Judoka Wins Bronze Medal at World Championship
Kyrgyz judoka Erlan Sherov won a bronze medal at the World Championship held in Abu Dhabi, the capital of the United Arab Emirates.
Competing in the 90 kg weight class, Erlan Sherov advanced to the semifinals and faced Japanese judoka Goki Tajima. After losing the battle for the final, Sherov had the opportunity to compete for the bronze medal.
In the third-place match, Sherov defeated Italian Christian Parlati to claim the bronze medal. Thus, Erlan Sherov became the first Kyrgyz judoka to win a medal at the World Championship.
