The Azerbaijani national judo team will compete with 10 athletes at the “Grand Slam” tournament in Paris, France.
According to a statement from the Azerbaijan Judo Federation, the following judokas will take part in the tournament: Ahmed Yusifov and Hüseyin Allahyarov (60 kg), Ruslan Pashayev and Rashad Yelkiyev (66 kg), Rashid Mammadaliyev and Vusal Kalandarzade (73 kg), Omar Rajabli (81 kg), Ajdar Bagirov (100 kg), Ushangi Kokauri and Kanan Nasibov (+100 kg).
Murad Fatiyev (90 kg), who was supposed to compete, will miss the tournament due to injury.
The Azerbaijani judokas will be guided by performance director and men’s national team head coach Richard Trautmann, along with senior coaches Robert Kravchik, Elkhan Mammadov, and Slavko Tekic.
The tournament is scheduled to take place on February 1-2.
