Strong Statement from Gence in the Play-Offs: Halil Atlı Calls on the Fans
Demonstrating an impressive performance in the Azerbaijan Basketball League play-off stage, Gence Club secured its spot in the quarter-finals by defeating Lenkeran in both matches. Gence claimed victory in the first game with a score of 96-92 and dominated the second with a 100-74 win, reinforcing their championship ambitions.
Following the second match, Gence Head Coach Halil Atlı emphasized that they had accomplished something significant with the team and budget they built this season. “I congratulate my team. I believe we’ve built a strong squad this year. When I first arrived, my main goal was to bring Gence back to the play-offs. We’ve achieved that, and we also reached the final of the Azerbaijan Cup. Now, we’ve qualified for the decisive stage of the championship. We dedicate this success to the people of Gence,” Atlı said.
Expressing his gratitude to each of his players individually, Atlı highlighted their step-by-step progress and addressed the fans with a special message: “The support of our fans both motivates and inspires us.
