Olympiacos Pays Buyout for Tyson Ward and Brings Him to Athens

Olympiacos is nearing the completion of Tyson Ward’s transfer by paying the buyout fee to his French club, Paris. The 27-year-old forward, standing at 1.98 meters, is set to wear the red-and-white jersey in Athens. The news was shared by Greek journalist Konstantinos Melayes on the program BIG 4.

Paris recently clinched the French League title after defeating Monaco in the finals. Following this success, Olympiacos has moved to finalize the deal for Ward. The transfer is expected to be completed within a week, with medical examinations and official announcements to follow.

Last season, Ward played 38 games for Paris, starting in all of them. He averaged 11 points (58.9% 2PT, 33.2% 3PT, 75.9% FT), 4.9 rebounds, and 1.3 assists per game.

Previously, Ward played for Würzburg and Bonn in Germany. His decorated career includes a Basketball Champions League title, a EuroCup championship, and most recently, the French League title with Paris.
