Quba Player Gogaladze: “Even Though the Team Is Not in Its Best Form, We Are Satisfied with the Results”
Azerbaijan Basketball League team Quba has made a solid start to the season. The team’s Georgian player Levan Gogaladze stated in an interview with the club’s press service that although the team has not yet reached its best form, they are pleased with the results so far.
Gogaladze emphasized that they are ready to fight against any opponent and said:
“Our team is far from its best form at the moment, but we are satisfied with the results. It was great to start the season with a win. I injured my knee and haven’t been able to train for 10 days, but I’m trying to maintain my rhythm. We still need to work a lot on tactical aspects. I believe the main reason for our victory was our determination and energy. We played well and showed good team spirit. This year, our team is strong. We also added several local players to the roster who are ready to fulfill the coach’s instructions. We will fight against every team and do our best.”
The Georgian player also spoke cautiously about their upcoming goals:
“I hope we will do our best, but I don’t want to make predictions. We’ll take it game by game. After the match against Sarhadchi, we started focusing on the game against Ordu. I know a few American players from Ordu — they played with my friends back in Georgia. I’m sure it will be a good match, and hopefully, the win will be ours.”
In the first round of the Azerbaijan Basketball League, Quba defeated Sarhadchi with a score of 98–76. The team will face Ordu in their second match today.
