Lorenzo Brown was born on August 26, 1990, in Illinois, USA. Standing at 1.96 meters tall, he played guard for North Carolina State from 2010 to 2013, averaging 12.4 points and 4.3 rebounds in his second NCAA season. Over his college career, he averaged 11.6 points, 4.2 rebounds, and 5.8 assists in 32.6 minutes per game.

Brown was selected 52nd overall in the 2013 NBA Draft by the Minnesota Timberwolves, signing his first professional contract on September 26. He then joined the Philadelphia 76ers in November 2013, also playing for their affiliate, the Delaware 87ers.

On July 29, 2014, he signed with Italian team Reyer Venezia but returned to the US to join the Detroit Pistons in early September, later moving to the Grand Rapids Drive in November.

On January 28, 2015, Brown signed with the Minnesota Timberwolves, playing in 29 games and averaging 4.2 points, 3.1 assists, and 2.4 rebounds. In January 2016, he signed with the Phoenix Suns, debuting against the Indiana Pacers with 7 points, 5 assists, 2 rebounds, and 1 steal, before being traded to the Detroit Pistons on March 18.

In November 2016, Brown signed with Russia’s UNICS Kazan, but transferred to China’s Zhejiang Golden Bulls in December, averaging 24 points, 7.4 rebounds, 5.5 assists, and 2.6 steals over 20 games. He returned to the Grand Rapids Drive in the US after the Chinese season ended. In the 2017-2018 season, he split his time between the Toronto Raptors and their G League affiliate, earning the G League MVP award. Brown renewed his contract with the Raptors in July 2018, playing 26 games with them.

On February 10, 2019, he returned to China, playing for the Guangzhou Loong Lions and averaging 25.2 points, 5.4 rebounds, 4.9 assists, and 2.8 steals in 9 games.

In the summer of 2019, Brown signed with Crvena Zvezda, averaging 12.3 points, 4.6 assists, and 3.3 rebounds in 27 EuroLeague games. On July 14, 2020, he was announced by Fenerbahçe Beko, where he averaged 8.7 points, 3.4 assists, and 2.2 rebounds in 37 EuroLeague games.

In July 2021, Brown signed with Russia’s UNICS Kazan, averaging 17.3 points, 6 assists, and 3.2 rebounds in 26 EuroLeague games.

On June 29, 2022, Brown signed a two-year contract with Maccabi Tel Aviv. In the 2023-2024 EuroLeague season, he averaged 13.2 points, 6.1 assists, and 2.8 rebounds, earning a spot on the All-EuroLeague Second Team. Brown helped Maccabi Tel Aviv win the Israeli championship twice.

From 2019 to 2024, Brown played in a total of 135 EuroLeague games, averaging 13 points, 5.1 assists, and 2.9 rebounds.

In July 2022, Lorenzo Brown obtained Spanish citizenship and competed with the Spanish National Team in EuroBasket 2022, winning a gold medal. He averaged 15.2 points, 1.8 rebounds, and 7.6 assists in the tournament, making a significant impact!”
