Azerbaijan Women’s National Team in the First Play-Off Round of the European Championship
The Azerbaijan women’s national football team has qualified for the first play-off stage of the European Championship.
The national team, ranked fourth in Group 1 of League B with 4 points, still has a chance to participate in the final stage. The team earned this right by finishing as the best fourth-placed team in the League B groups.
The draw for the first play-off stage will take place on July 19. The opponent of the Azerbaijan national team will be one of the highest-ranked participants among the other 11 teams continuing in League B.
The first play-off stage matches will be held on October 23 and 29. The winners of the 6 pairings will advance to the second play-off stage.
