Bulgarian Champion: Tsolov’s Second Formula 3 Triumph

Magnificent Nikola Tsolov Claims His Second Victory in Formula 3

After his sprint victory in Austria, Nikola Tsolov has secured his second win in Formula 3. The Bulgarian athlete recorded his 10th participation yesterday, starting from 1st place and dropping to 12th due to the reverse grid rule for the sprint. Thus, he finished third in the short race.

Tsolov’s teammate, Christian Mansell, managed to lead the race initially. The Bulgarian driver then had to contend with Martinus Stenshorn, allowing ART to secure the top two positions.

Following this, an incident involving Dino Beganović spinning at the first corner led to a brief appearance of the safety car. However, another driver managed to continue driving after contact with a competitor caused them to stop.

In the seventh lap of the sprint, Nikola Tsolov overtook his teammate with the help of the DRS system and set a new fastest lap. In the subsequent laps, Mansell remained half a second behind the Bulgarian driver, who never looked back.

Montoya continued to battle for fourth place against Dunn. Stenshorn maintained his position in third and kept up the pressure on second-place Christian Mansell, staying less than a second behind.

In the 15th lap, Mansell managed to briefly pass the Bulgarian in the third turn, only for Tsolov to reclaim the lead with a brilliant maneuver. Christian Mansell then attacked again to take first place but was once more overtaken by Nikola. Taking advantage of this, Martinus Stenshorn moved into second.

Shortly after, a terrible crash between Sebastian Montoya and Alex Dunn at the fourth corner led to the second deployment of the safety car. Although there were only a few laps remaining, the race resumed at the end of the penultimate lap. Nikola Tsolov had no trouble keeping Stenshorn and Mansell behind him to win this sprint. He had previously done the same in Monaco for his first Formula 3 victory.
