French Clubs Eye Mustapha Sangare
Levski Sofia’s 26-year-old forward Mustapha Sangare has reportedly attracted interest from three French clubs. Clermont, Guingamp, and Montpellier are said to have included Sangare in their transfer plans as they look to strengthen their squads for next season.
All three clubs will compete in Ligue 2 next season. Montpellier was relegated from Ligue 1, Guingamp failed in the promotion playoffs, while Clermont secured their spot in Ligue 2 by winning the relegation playoff.
Sangare joined Levski Sofia after a brief stint at Spanish side Gerena, where he had transferred from Portuguese club Varzim last summer. In total, he made 37 appearances for the Bulgarian club, scoring eight goals and providing six assists. During the winter transfer window, he also drew serious interest from Russian side Pari Nizhny Novgorod.
The forward still has two years left on his contract with Levski, but the club is reportedly open to a sale if a good offer comes in.
