Turkey’s accomplished open water swimmer, Deniz Kayadelen, has etched her name in history once again by achieving the seemingly impossible. Kayadelen completed the 20 Bridges Manhattan swim in 7 hours and 58 minutes, covering 50 kilometers and marking a significant milestone.
This achievement grants Deniz Kayadelen the prestigious Triple Crown title, making her the third Turkish woman swimmer to reach this honor. With this historic crossing on August 21, Kayadelen has also successfully completed the Catalina and English Channel crossings required for the Triple Crown, earning her the distinction of being the seventh Turkish athlete to hold this title.
