Ivet Goranova Triumphs with Gold Medal in Croatia
Tokyo 2020 Olympic champion Ivet Goranova has added another accolade to her impressive career by winning the gold medal at the 23rd International Karate Tournament in Rijeka, Croatia. Representing the Petromaks club from Bulgaria, Goranova claimed victory in the 61 kg kumite category, defeating her Ukrainian opponent, Aleksandra Sholokhova, 5-3 in the final.
The tournament saw participation from athletes representing various countries, including Croatia, Ukraine, Austria, Moldova, Bulgaria, Slovenia, Hungary, Slovakia, New Zealand, Serbia, Norway, and Italy. Goranova’s victory further solidifies her status as one of the leading figures in karate.
