Mahir Mammadov’s Term Continues at the Azerbaijan Chess Federation

Mahir Mammadov Re-elected as President of the Azerbaijan Chess Federation

The Azerbaijan Chess Federation (ACF) held its report and election conference, which began with the national anthem and a moment of remembrance for the martyrs who sacrificed their lives for the country.

The conference was attended by representatives from the Ministry of Youth and Sports of Azerbaijan, ACF officials, renowned chess players, and numerous guests.

ACF President Mahir Mammadov gave a presentation on the federation’s activities and achievements over the past three years. Minister of Youth and Sports Farid Gayibov also addressed the audience, expressing his appreciation for the federation’s work.

The program continued with the screening of the federation’s activity report video, followed by discussions on the budget and agenda items. Reports from the ACF’s Referees Committee, Coaches Committee, Children and Youth Committee, and Composition Committee were also presented.

Later in the conference, new members were elected to the ACF Executive Board. The board will include Mahir Mammadov, Faig Hasanov, Sarkhan Hashimov, Aynur Sofiyeva, Elnur Aliyev, Bakhtiyar Mammadov, and Yagub Huseynov.

Additionally, Faig Hasanov, Bakhtiyar Mammadov, and Yagub Huseynov were elected as vice presidents, with Faig Hasanov being named First Vice President. Mahir Mammadov was re-elected as President of the Azerbaijan Chess Federation by the delegates’ votes.
