Azerbaijan National Team Head Coach: “We Are Better Than England in Terms of Level”
Azerbaijan Beach Soccer National Team Head Coach Sahib Mammadov shared his thoughts on their match against England in the first preliminary round of the European Championship.
In his statement, Mammadov emphasized the difficulty of the match while expressing satisfaction with his players’ performance.
“We beat England 5-4. The regular time ended in a 4-4 draw, and we won in extra time. The most important thing is to win. The first match is always tough. But in my opinion, we are better than England in terms of level. I’m pleased with the boys. Now our goal is to beat Belgium and qualify for the Super Final,” he said.
Azerbaijan defeated England 5-4 in their opening match. The team will face Belgium on May 24 and Lithuania on May 25 in their remaining group matches.
