Qarabağ Marches On: 5-0 Victory Paves Path to Next Round
In the second qualifying round of the UEFA Champions League, Qarabağ defeated Lincoln Red Imps 5-0 in the return leg, following a 2-0 victory in the first leg, to advance to the third round. Arifa Latifova, a journalist from Azerbaijan’s CBC Sport, shared exclusive insights with Sports Declaration.

Qarabağ’s victories over Lincoln, 2-0 away and 5-0 at home, demonstrate this. Coach Qurban Qurbanov’s team plays an attractive game with precise passes and is one of the main contenders to qualify for the group stage of the UEFA Champions League under the new format. The ‘White-Blues’ will face Bulgaria’s Ludogorets in the next round. I believe this is a favorable matchup for Qarabağ.
