“First of all, I want to thank all my players. Right now, we are very excited because this is a big story for us. It’s not just important for us but for the entire city of Giannina. We have so many fans, and I love them. We are not just a team; we are like a family. After every match, 60,000 people come together. No matter if we win or lose, our fans are always with us. I am very happy; this is huge, really huge!”

Experience in Greece
Selen Erdem emphasized how much she enjoys being in Greece:
“I love Greece. I had visited 10-15 years ago, but only for vacation. Later, I coached at a camp here. The people are very friendly, very welcoming. The food is amazing! I love my team and the sense of belonging I feel here.”
The Final Match
Discussing their goal of winning the cup, Erdem stated that her team is ready to fight against strong opponents:
“Olympiacos and Panathinaikos are very strong teams with great organizations and outstanding rosters. Our goal was to reach the final, and now we’re here. We have a match tomorrow, and my players will fight for 40 minutes. It doesn’t matter who we face—we will give everything on the court. After that, we’ll quickly prepare for the final. Maybe the cup will be ours!”
Support for Ergin Ataman
Selen Erdem also expressed her support for Panathinaikos AKTOR in the OPAP Men’s Cup Final 8 and confirmed that she stays in touch with Ergin Ataman:
