Greco-Roman Wrestling National Team Completes Olympic Preparations

The final training camp for the Senior Greco-Roman Wrestling National Team, preparing for the Paris 2024 Olympics, will begin on August 1st.

According to IRNA, the seventh and final training camp will take place from August 1st to 12th. This camp, which will include Olympic athletes, is considered the team’s final rehearsal.

The athletes invited to the camp are as follows:

– *60 kilograms*: Mehdi Mohsennijad, Pouya Dadmarz, Sajjad Abbaspour
– *67 kilograms*: Saeed Esmaeili, Armin Moheb Sabat, Abolfazl Alaei
– *77 kilograms*: Amin Kavianinejad, Amir Abdi, Reza Saki
– *87 kilograms*: Alireza Mohammedi, Behrouz Hedai, Mohammad Naqousi
– *97 kilograms*: Hadi Saravi, Amir Reza Akbari, Shayan Habib Zare
– *130 kilograms*: Amin Mirzazadeh, Mehrdad Koliwand, Abolfazl Mirzazadeh

The coaching staff includes head coach Hassan Rangraz and assistants Hassan Hossein Zadeh, Majid Ramazani, Taleb Nematpour, and Farzad Iman Alizadeh.

This camp is seen as a strong preparation phase for the major event in Paris.

The Iranian wrestling team has won a total of 41 medals in the Olympic Games. The distribution of these medals is as follows:

– Silver: 16
– Bronze: 15
