Uzbekistan to Make Record Participation in Powerlifting at Paris 2024 Paralympics
The International Paralympic Committee (IPC) has released the final athlete rankings for the Paris 2024 Paralympic Games. Among these rankings, Uzbekistan has achieved a record number of licenses in para powerlifting. For the first time in history, 8 para powerlifters from Uzbekistan will compete in the Paralympic Games, a significant increase compared to previous Games where the number of powerlifters from Uzbekistan never exceeded 3.

Rukhshona Oktamova
Roza Kozieva

These athletes will compete in the para powerlifting events from September 4 to 7 at the Porte de La Chapelle Arena. Uzbekistan’s notable achievement in this field reflects the country’s commitment to supporting its athletes and their determination.
