Madrid-based Rayo Vallecano put on a strong performance against Barcelona in the 3rd round of the Spanish Championship, but missed out on a victory in the final moments. The match took place at the “Campo de Vallecas” stadium in Madrid, where Rayo fans experienced moments of hope.
Rayo Vallecano’s Unai López once again found the net against Barcelona at Vallecas, just as he did last season, giving the home team an early lead. In the closing moments of the match, the team’s new signing Dani Olmo scored the winning goal for Barcelona, preventing Rayo Vallecano from securing any points.
